19 MAYIS TÖRENİMİZ...

Atatürk'ü Anma, Gençlik ve Spor Bayramı, her yıl 19 Mayıs tarihinde kutlanan, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti ve Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti'nin resmî bayramıdır. 19 Mayıs 1919'da Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Bandırma Vapuru ile Samsun'a çıkmıştır ve bu gün, İtilaf Devletleri'nin işgaline karşı Türk Kurtuluş Savaşı'nın başladığı gün kabul edilir. Atatürk bu bayramı Türk gençliğine armağan etmiştir. Uzun yıllar "Gençlik ve Spor Bayramı" adıyla kutlanan bayram, Atatürk Yılı kabul ve ilan edilen 1981'de dönemin Devlet Başkanı Kenan Evren tarafından yapılan değişiklikle "Atatürk'ü Anma, Gençlik ve Spor Bayramı" adını almıştır. Okulumuzda bu anlamlı Bayram coşkuyla kutlandı.

Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day is an official holiday of the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, celebrated every year on May 19th. On May 19th, 1919, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk landed in Samsun on the Bandırma Ferry and this day is accepted as the day the Turkish War of Independence began against the occupation of the Allied Powers. Atatürk dedicated this holiday to the Turkish youth. Celebrated as "Youth and Sports Day" for many years, the holiday was changed to "Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day" by the then President Kenan Evren in 1981, when it was accepted and declared as the Atatürk Year. This meaningful holiday was celebrated with enthusiasm in our school.
